"My Memoir Workbook," Book Award Winner
For over 15 years, Marcia Rosen has provided people of all ages and life experiences with strategies and inspiration to open and expand the doors of their creativity so they can write and publish the words "dancing in their heads and hearts."
As a consultant to authors, Marcia has guided many writers throughout various steps of the process from original concept to marketing. Her services for them have included preparing book proposals, concept/content development, ghostwriting, editing/proofing manuscripts, and publicity campaigns.
Marcia Rosen is the author of the book, "The Woman's Business Therapist: Eliminate the MindBlocks and Roadblocks to Success." After it was published, Marcia conducted an eighteen-month book tour with book signings, speaking engagements, and promotional presentations throughout the United States. She coordinated and managed most of the publicity, speaking opportunities and extensive media coverage utilizing my more than twenty-five years of personal marketing/public-relations agency experience. She is presently working on a new workbook, "A Writer's Success" completing her own memoir: "What Are the Odds?" and working with an illustrator on series of ebooks.
Marcia also taught many writing courses and group presentations and continues to do so now in Carmel California. This experience includes classes on "Writing Non-Fiction On Any Subject" and "Promoting Your Book" at the State University of New York at Southampton. She was the founder and presenter of "Memoir/Life-Writing...from Memories to Memoirs" in the Hamptons and New York City and "Memoir/Life-Writing Workshop Series and Showcase" for Town of Southampton senior centers, as well as a series of workshops in Albuquerque on "The Writer's Therapist," "Encouraging & Supporting the Author Within," "Writing From Your Soul," "Memoir-Life-Writing," and "Now What: The Business of Writing and Publishing." She started the Craft of Writing, writers book club.
As a creative consultant to individuals and groups of aspiring writers and prospective published authors, Marcia has developed a personalized workbook called "My Memoir Workbook," and continues to offer various speaking programs at libraries, community colleges and organizations. She also has past experience with corporate clients. She co-authored a series of "Do-It-Write Booklets" sponsored by New York City banks and materials on "How to Market Your Practice" for a national pharmaceutical company.
Various newspapers have published articles that Marica has written, which includes "Writing Your Life Story" and "Memoirists Show How to Unlock the Doors of Creativity... For Any Age." In addition, She has been interviewed and quoted by journalists at The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and The Wall Street Journal, as well as numerous national business and women's publications related to "The Woman's Business Therapist." Her business is now based in Carmel, California with author clients in New York City, Long Island, the Hamptons and several others in Florida, New Mexico, Georgia, Illinois and California.
Marcia has been interested in writing mysteries for a long time. As an entrepreneur for many years, she often thought of herself as a business detective, identifying a problem and finding a solution for it. In writing her books and numerous articles for business and professional women, Marcia realized that when she explores the problem, she usually uncovers hidden secrets. Finding the truth matters: in relationships, in business and in murder!
REVIEWS & PRAISE
In writing my memoir, "Life Savors," Marcia was invaluable in helping me. Marcia, your clarity of vision in terms of a "through-line" was immensely helpful, and your suggestions, like "less of a travelogue" and "more Buffy – maybe dialogue" and "keep the focus" – were important to my efforts. You gave me a sense of purpose when I was discouraged and a sense of pride in what I was trying to do. As a memoirist "consultant," you are the best!

"Lessons Learned: How to Negotiate the Life You Want to Live"
Dear Marcia, You have been a great source of motivation and support both in developing my Memoir and encouraging me to write what I hope is my first of several children's books on adoption. Each of these projects is very important to me and you have helped me feel I can be a successful published author. I look forward to our continuing to work together, it is the connection we have together that I value, and I appreciate you telling me you feel the same way. Thank you for all.
